Finally that time of year!!! Comedy time!!! Things have been slow with the comedy here in Port Townsend, but lets get it going on again with the 4th Annual Olympic Peninsula Comedy Contest. The OPCC takes place April 27th at the Upstage, 923 Washington St., Port Townsend, WA..This years event will be hosted by last years winner,the really funny, Meghan Flaherty!! Call early and make your reservation, we were sold out last year and expect the same for this show!! Make your reservation by calling the Upstage at 360-385-2216

The Olympic Peninsula Comedy Contest is an audience judged competition. Up to 10 comedians of all levels from the Northwest are chosen to each perform a set, and the audience selects who they think was the funniest via a ballot. The comic with the most votes wins a cash prize and guaranteed booking with Olympic Peninsula Comedy.

Recent winners have gone on to be national touring feature acts, headliners, and comedy club favorites...This event is a great stepping stone for these comedians, and one of the most fun shows of the year here on the Peninsula!!

The 3rd Annual Olympic Peninsula Comedy Contest is here!

Tell all your friends!!! The 3rd Annual Olympic Peninsula Comedy Contest takes place on February 17th at the Upstage in historic downtown Port Townsend, WA. Up to 10 comedians ranging from newcomers to headliners, will be performing for cash and bookings, with YOU the audience, choosing our winner. Each comic will perform their set, and after all comedians have performed, the audience will select their favorite via ballot. As a special treat, this years competition will be hosted by the winner of the 2011 OPCC, Xung Lam! Xung is one of the top featured acts in the region and making a name for himself around the country. This, like all Olympic Peninsula Comedy events is all ages with discretion due to possible adult language or themes. As always, the lineup is subject to change.

Comedy Fundraiser in Port Townsend!! November 30th!!

Comedy Night Fundraiser To Keep Live Entertainment Coming to The Upstage Next Wednesday!

Wednesday Night November 30th, national and local comedians will come together to perform at the Upstage at 8pm, to raise money so we can keep live entertainment coming at the Upstage in Port Townsend. Tentatively* scheduled to perform are Northwest favorite and national touring star Brad Upton, national touring up and comer comer Derek Sheen, Local favorite Jen Seaman, and Phil Fox. Come out on the 30th for a night of laughs to support our favorite local night spot for live entertainment. Tickets are a $10 donation, and all ages are welcome with discretion do to some potential adult language. This event is scheduled and presented by Olympic Peninsula Comedy and www.olypencomedy.com

Hey comedy fans....

It's been quite a while, and your probably long overdue for your comedy fix in the Port Townsend are, so here's a quick rundown of what we have coming up throughout November....show flyers will also be posted asap:

November 3rd, we have our quarterly comedy benefit show for Key City Public Theatre, with 2010 Seattle Comedy Competition finalist, and off the Comedy Central tour, Dax Jordan! Dax is one of the funniest up and coming comics on the scene today and has appeared on film and performed for out troops abroad...

Speaking of the Seattle Comedy Competition, once again we will be hosting a first round show at the Upstage on November 9th, featuring over 15 international headliners competing for money, and to be the next big comedy star!

Then....on November 30th we will be doing a fundraiser to keep the entertainment coming at the Upstage. A handful of the top national and local comics will come together to help raise a few bucks for the Upstage, my favorite place for music and entertainment on the Olympic Peninsula! Tentatively scheduled to appear are Big Irish Jay, Jen Seaman, and the one and only Brad Upton!
